Evanston Post 42 has been serving veterans and their families for over 103 years through events like the disabled veteran's Thanksgiving dinner, Golf Outings, The annual Post 42 Picnic, VA Visits, Honor Flight Chicago, the Pancake Breakfast, and many more.
We have been here for over a century. We are committed to assisting those who have served and those who continue to serve us bravely.
We have built our organization on the core values of veteran support, community activities, youth programs, and advancing Americanism. We support veterans' causes and needs, as well as provide support to our active members of the armed forces. We offer these selfless services by being dedicated to something greater than ourselves.
Under the guidance of the Board of Trustees of the Charitable Foundation, we believe in mentoring youth, advocating patriotism, and promoting strong national security.
We call ourselves a QRF (quick reaction force) as we do not have a large administrative system so when we get a request for assistance, we can act quickly.
Evanston Post 42 Charitable Foundation is 100% staffed by volunteers to support veteran needs. We do not have employees or administrative stalls. Our foundation is administered by a 5-member board of trustees and overseen by a Legioneer with many decades of service and experience.
Evanston Post 42 Charitable Foundation efficiently supports every critical project no matter the scale or size. From a small porch repair to in-house renovations, we mobilize from Post 42 and fund from the foundation.
All donations at our organization are fully in support of these and other projects. If you believe in our mission, please support us by clicking the button below. We welcome and are grateful for every donation.
